Derailleur Gears
The derailleurs, both front and rear, are the mechanisms that help shift the chain from one sprocket to another when you press the gearshift levers. Available in a wide range of different speeds from the likes of Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM to suit your drivetrain, the derailleur is an extremely important part of any bicycle equipped with a normal gearing system. More expensive derailleurs feature lighter and often stronger materials such as carbon fibre and titanium, as well as electronic shifting which results in an ultra-smooth riding experience.
