Lightweight, full carbon, Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon wheels produce less drag for more responsive cornering and improved acceleration. A LEVEL 5 integrated carbon handlebar system provides a super-clean, cable-free and stable front-end with up to a 40% drag reduction when compared to a standard handlebar setup.

Groupset

Shimano Ultegra R8100 has been completely redesigned with all-new ergonomics, even greater brake modulation and wireless electronic shifting precision. It delivers the world’s fastest and most reliable wireless shifting and a wide gear range that means no matter how steep a climb is, it’s never outside your comfort zone. Di2 gives you instant, accurate, lightning-fast shifts every time, at the push of a button. Even in the most extreme of conditions, shifting is precise and controlled. Wheelset

Mavic Cosmic SL 45 Carbon wheels are engineered for riders seeking the perfect balance between weight, aerodynamics and speed. Their minimal drag and low inertia design allow you to accelerate and climb faster while holding higher speeds for longer. Paired with Pirelli's P Zero Race tyre, which is designed for high performance results. Puncture resistant, without impacting the weight of the tyre, and able to maintain grip in both wet and dry conditions, this tyre is the choice of the pro-peloton.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Our entire range of e-bikes are pedal-assist models (pedelecs) and always require rider input.

There’s no need to worry; being a pedal-assisted model means you are always in full control. When a power assist level is selected, the motor provides a little extra boost to amplify your pedalling efforts and never takes over.

No. Just like conventional bikes, pedal-assisted electric bikes don't require you to hold a valid driver’s licence, pay any road tax or take out insurance.

Simply plug the bike into any household power socket using the supplied charger and cable. (The optional range extender can also be used to charge the main battery whilst you are on the move).

The electric components used in the manufacture of our e-bikes are IP54-rated. They can be used in inclement weather conditions and are protected against splashing but not against full immersion or when subjected to pressure from a hose pipe or jet wash. When transporting the bike outside of a vehicle, a waterproof cover should be utilised to protect the electronic components from water damage during such transportation. As with any bike, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and drying the bike after any wet weather rides to maintain its peak performance.

All e-bikes can be purchased through the major Cycle to Work providers. The government has even abolished the £1000 limit, making obtaining an e-bike through Cycle to work more beneficial than ever.

You can test-ride any of our e-bikes and receive expert buying advice at our flagship Clitheroe showroom. Please get in touch with the showroom in advance so that we can ensure that any suitable bikes you wish to test are available for your visit. Alternatively, you can hire the e-bike from E-Venture Bikes in Keswick; the rental cost will be deducted from your purchase if you decide to buy one of our e-bikes.

Builds start from as low as 10.5kg, making the Endurance SL e one of the lightest of its type worldwide. Our recommended builds weigh between 10.5 and 12kg, depending on your chosen specification.

The SL e is centred around the MAHLE SmartBike Systems X35+ electric drive motor system.

You can cycle through three different assistance modes (which can be further customised via the companion app) or turn the motor off completely, all at the press of a single button.

The SL e’s motor system is 'pedal-assist', which means that the motor supports you when you pedal the bike.

The SL e’s motor system will only assist you to a maximum of 15mph, at which point (by law, and as with all e-bikes in the UK) the assistance will cut out. If you drop below 15mph, the motor will automatically re-engage and provide assistance as required.

The battery range of the Endurance SL e depends on a number of factors, including rider weight, route profile and temperature. A rider of 90kg on a varied route including climbs, descents and flats using the low power setting can expect an average range of up to 60 miles. An optional range extender is also available for all of our e-bikes, which effectively doubles the bike's available range.

With builds from only 11kgs, you will often find yourself above this speed. The motor will only assist you up to 15mph, and you will rely entirely upon your leg power for speeds above this.

Disconnecting the rear wheel from the frame is a simple matter of unclipping the connector on the chain stay and releasing the nuts on the rear axle. Then reconnect by clipping the cable back in, inserting the wheel and tightening the nuts.

The frame is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 3 years. The standard manufacturer's warranty covers all components except the MAHLE system, which is covered against manufacturing defects for a period of 2 years.

Built-in mudguard mounts provide compatibility with full coverage mudguards. A removable mudguard bridge is required at the rear and can be purchased via the Ribble website.

The Endurance SL e's frame design includes ample room for 32mm road tyres (manufacturer/tread profile dependent) without mudguards or 25mm with guards fitted.

The Endurance geometry of this frame is best suited to comfort and efficiency over longer distances on the road and aids climbing. If you're going to be riding off-road often, we suggest the CGR AL e, which uses the same MAHLE system.

Each frame size offers two bottle cage mounts situated on the down tube and seat tube.

Our endurance range of 'pure' road bikes isn't designed to accept conventional pannier racks. The CGR AL e is an excellent alternative for riders who wish to carry luggage yet retain the speed and efficiency of a road bike.

Thanks to its internal cable routing, the frame is fully compatible with electronic groupsets.

From fully depleted, the battery takes 3.5 hours to reach full charge.

No. The battery is charged via a charging port conveniently situated atop the bottom bracket.

The button mounted on the top tube indicates the remaining battery life at a glance using a simple colour code. White= 75% capacity or more remaining, Green= 50-75%, Orange= 25-50%, Red= 15-25%, Slow Red Flash= 10-15% and Rapid Red Flash= 10% or less remaining. You can also keep track of the remaining battery life using the MAHLE SmartBike Systems companion app.

Yes. The MAHLE companion app is compatible with both Apple and Android OS, offering a full suite of functionality, from monitoring your exact battery life to pairing the system with a heart rate monitor and having the motor kick in at a specific BPM limit

The SL e is one of the lightest e-Bikes currently available. As reference points, the Pinarello Nytro is 13kgs; and the Orbea Gain is 11.3kgs.

The battery is accessible by removing the bottom bracket. The motor is also easy to replace.

It's designed to accept the latest flat-mount disc brakes.

It ships with a 3-pin UK adaptor.

You charge the system via the charging port that is easily accessible atop the bottom bracket shell.

The battery can reach up to 500 charging cycles while still retaining up to 90% of its capacity as long as its care and maintenance are adequate. Please refer to our battery care blog for our top tips and recommendations to maximise battery life. Use only the original MAHLE charger supplied with your bike.

The Endurance SL e takes a press-fit style of BB, Shimano builds require an 86.5x41 BB and SRAM a BB86.

The range extender is essentially an oversized water bottle and is supplied with its own bottle cage. This replaces the seat tube-mounted bottle cage; the charger then plugs into the charging port atop the bottom bracket shell.

Due to the many different systems people use, we don't supply pedals with bikes. However, you can choose from a selection of the best-selling pedals when you configure your bike.

It features an M12x120mmx1.5mm thru axles at the front and an oversized bolt-on axle at the rear.
